For the next three months, each of the solutions involved would undergo evaluations including ease of use, implementation, and user experience.
The official objectives set by the stakeholders were to:
1) Establish a technical system for telemedicine;
2) Engage with participants to develop a standard workflow for supporting video visits;
3) Capture provider and member feedback on the telemedicine experience.
The following case study breaks down CareFirst’s interest in telemedicine for their members and how SimpleVisit provided a solution that far surpassed in performance than the other pilot participants.
Telemedicine as a care delivery option is here to stay. The focus is now turned on developing standards for implementation, ease of use and quality user experience for providers and their patients.
