Is this secure and HIPAA compliant?
Absolutely. SimpleVisit only utilizes video services that meet the “communications conduit” requirement in the HIPAA rules. We also sign a business associate agreement with the covered practice to allow SimpleVisit to handle patient information for the purposes of the telemedicine exchange.  We do not record or store ePHI that could be compromised. Are these visits eligible for reimbursement?
Reimbursement for telemedicine is not affected by the technology used as much as the type of medical service provided.  The rules for reimbursement vary greatly by state and payer policies. Click here to find helpful resources.
How do I schedule an appointment?
You may either call us at (877) 838-4748, email appointments@simplevisit.com, or use the scheduling portal simplevisit.com/schedule.

EHR Integrations are available for all subscriptions upon request.

Required information includes the date and time of the appointment, the patient’s name, preferred video platform and contact information.

When can I schedule an appointment?
Appointment requests can be submitted at any time. Standard hours of operation for virtual sessions are 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. EST Mon-Fri (excluding national holidays)

Additional operating hours requested are available for a custom user contract upon approval.  Additional terms and fees apply.

What if my patient doesn’t have a video account?
Our SimpleVisit coordinator team will contact them prior to the appointment to confirm their contact preference or send a link to an online web session.

The coordinator team is trained to assist with technical troubleshooting to ensure a smooth experience.

What is the cancellation policy?
A Provider must cancel/reschedule 12 hours prior to the scheduled appointment to avoid being charged for that visit.

Patient MUST request to cancel or reschedule to the provider directly.  It is then the provider’s responsibility to confirm the cancellation with us prior to the required timeframe.
