CMS Issues Updates to Medicare Telehealth Reimbursement
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has released an updated version of their telehealth fact sheet for 2018, expanded into an easy-to-read booklet format. If you are a Medicare fee-for-service provider, this is a must-read.
This booklet provides updates on the latest Medicare reimbursement policies, including qualifications for originating sites and distant site practitioners, and a description of what constitutes eligible telehealth services. The 2018 physician fee schedule (PFS) added new telehealth services to this list, as well as their corresponding insurance codes.
